CANKER SORES - CAUSES & CURES

   HISTORY:

[ ] Usually caused by Biting the Lip or Tongue
[ ] Scrape of Gum by Toothbrush, Fork, or other Instruments

   COURSE:

[ ] Usually takes 7-10 Days to Heal

   PROBLEM:

[ ] Painful
[ ] Open Sore on the Soft Tissue Mucosa

   DIAGNOSIS:

[ ] Located on the Moveable Soft Tissue only

   Some CAUSES & ETIOLOGY of CANKER SORES:

[ ] Bacteria [ ] Fungi  [ ] Virus
[ ] Growth starts at that site after the skin breaks down [ ] Unknown

   DIAGNOSIS and RULE-OUT these PROBLEMS:

Diseases to rule out:   
[ ] Cut
[ ] Herpes Simplex Type I Virus (Cold Sore, Fever Blister)
[ ] Abrasion
[ ] _______________

   Some DENTAL TREATMENTS:

[ ] Rinse your Mouth with Warm Salt Water 4 times a day
[ ] CankAid, or Benzodent, or any drug store topical anesthetic agents
[ ] Different Combinations of Agents do work on different people
[ ] TCA Chemical Cautery applied by the Dentist onto the Injured Site
    Sterilizes the surface & still takes 7-10 days to heal, but the pain is gone

   OTHER TREATMENTS:

[ ] Vitamin B Complex Tablet
[ ] Vitamin C Tablet: For Healing
[ ] Vitamin B Shots

 

 [ ] Yogurt is a preventative measure
[ ] No Treatment Option
